Funeral mass for Delia Fuentes Martinez, 76, will be held Friday, July 1, 2016 at 10:00 AM in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Plains, TX with Father Heriberto Mercado reciting mass. Services will be under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home of Denver City. Interment will follow in the Plains Cemetery. She passed away June 29, 2016 in Plains, TX.
Delia was born June 18, 1940 in Uvalde, TX to Julia Fuentes. She married Tiofilo Galardo in 1954 in Meadow, TX. Delia worked at Allsup’s and Dairy Queen in Plains for many years. She was a faithful member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by a son, Rene Fuentes, a grandson, Eddie Garcia and 2 brothers, Margarito and Jose Luis Capetillo.
Delia is survived by 2 daughters, Rosie Gallardo of Plains, Mary Helen Martinez of Canton, Ohio; 3 brothers, Sam Capetillo of Oklahoma City, OK, Joe Martinez Jr of Dallas, TX, Francisco Sotelo of Plains, TX; 4 sisters, Raquel Arreola of Uvalde, TX, Marta Guerrero of Salem, Oregon, Mary Lou Ramos of Denver City, TX, Maricela Rivera of Uvalde, TX; 7 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.
