Plains HS Varsity Cheer successful at camp

The Plains High School Varsity Cheer Squad recently attended the 2023 Universal Cheer Association Camp, at Texas Tech University. The ten girls put in hours of hard work, and learned many things, to use this school year. Their hard work was evident, with a list of awards. 

Plains Varsity Squad received a Blue Superior Ribbon for Sideline and Cheer. They also won a Blue Superior Ribbon for Routine and Dance. As a group, they also won a Spirit Stick, while at camp. In a cheer performance competition, PHS earned 4th Place, out of 23 squads. 

Individual honors were awarded, as well. Mascot, Alicia Salazar received a Blue Superior Ribbon, and a trophy for Most Iconic. Senior, Kiley Barrera received a spot on the All-American Cheer Team and was asked to try out for the UCA Staff. Great Job Girls, Plains is proud.
