Because of President’s Day following on Monday, February 17, the Commissioners Court held their weekly meeting on Tuesday, February 18 where they addressed their weekly agenda.
The first item on the agenda was to audit and settle all accounts against County and direct their payment. A motion was made by Commissioner Marion to approve the paying of the bills as presented. This included $104,696.06 for the County bills and $144,679.01 in Hospital bills. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Lindsey and was unanimously approved.
A motion was made by Commissioner Box and seconded by Commissioner Marion to acknowledge the receipt of the Sheriff’s January 2020 Monthly report as presented. This motion was also unanimously approved.
Moving on in the short agenda there were no road crossing permits, unanimously approved the disposal of county equipment by Sheriff’s Department, no line item transfers, and no Soil Conservation request.
The Court took a short recess before reconvening to conduct a work session to discuss rental rates on county buildings.
Those in attendance included Woody Lindsey, Ray Marion, Tommy Box, Tim Addison and County Judge Jim Barron.
The next meeting will be held on Monday, February 24 at 10am in County Courthouse.
