The Denver City City Council met in regular session on Monday night, February 3, where they addressed their agenda.

Moving into the agenda City Manager Stan David presented the Council with two bids submitted for the sealcoat project. The streets involved are Main Street from Broadway to 15th and parts of North Ave. F and E, 8th street, E. Fir, and Japonica. One bid came from Liphem Asphalt and Paving from Aspermont for a total of $294,500 and the second one came from Danny’s Asphalt and Paving from Odessa for $349,550. Next on the agenda was to consider an agreement with Level 5 Design Group for the construction of the new Police Department. After these adjustments had been sent to Level 5 they return the agreement back with the approval of the changes.
The first thing that needs to be done is the demolition of the current D-Mac building. At the end of the meeting the Council went into Executive Session to discuss options for this demolition. A bid for $49,000 had been submitted but as Monday night the bidder had no pit to dispose the material in. A local bid had also been submitted that was discussed during the Executive Session. No decision has been made concerning the demolition.
