Commissioners Court met on Monday, where they addressed a very short agenda that included only two action items.
Once again, County Clerk Debbie Rushing was requesting approval for the renewal of annual copier maintenance agreement with Tascosa Office Machines. But once again some paperwork was not ready, and like last week, the item was tabled until a later time.
In the next item, Sheriff Don Corzine was requesting expenditure from equipment line item for the purchase of a battery backup from CTSI. The Court unanimously approved his request.
There were no line item transfers, no Soil Conservation request and no request for disposal of county equipment.
Commissioner Woody Lindsey had no updates on the Senior Citizen building, but did note grass will be planted around the area on Tuesday. Commissioner Ray Marion had no updates on the new Community Building.
In auditing and settling all accounts against the County the court approved to pay all bills from the General Fund which totaled $222,404.27, Precinct 1 bills totaled $7,506.60, Precinct 2 bills totaled $2,253.54, Precinct 3 bills totaled $16,427.85, Precinct 4 bills totaled $4,535.62, Yoakum County Civic Center totaled $345.52, Yoakum County Landfill was $828.67, and Permanent Improvement was $23,185.00 for a grand total of $277,487.04.
In medical bills $159,363.88 was paid from the hospital funds, $3,314.88 to West Texas Medical Center, $574.85 to the Plains Clinic, and $295.00 to the Plains Lifestyle for a grand total of $163,548.61 of hospital bills.
In other medically related bills $652.03 was paid to Home Health, $7,985.12 to Dialysis, and $22,622.57 to Dispro for a grand total of $194,808.33 in medically related bills.
Commissioners Woody Lindsey, Ray Marion, Ty Earl Powell, and Tim Addison along with County Judge Jim Barron were in attendance.
The next meeting will be held on Monday, March 14 in the county courthouse at 10 am.
