Plains High School is participating in an event called “Shattered Dreams” where students are actively involved in the event as bystanders, victims, drivers and reporters.

Student compiled coverage of the event will be presented to the student body and the public 2 p.m. Friday Dec. 4. At this time parent letters written to the “unnamed walking dead” will also be read.

“We believe this this event is something that will stay with the students for years to come and remind them of the serious responsibility one takes when they get behind the wheel of a motorized vehicle and time importance of not being impaired,” wrote Benjamin Taylor, a Secondary Principal for the Plains Independent School District.

The wreck took place 9 a.m. Friday Nov. 20.
