Even in the midst of isolation, DCISD students are finding ways to serve others.
On Saturday, April 18, 2020, DCHS students Dakota Baldwin and Hannah Williamson, with WGJH student Leah Williamson and Joanna Williamson of Kelley Elementary served pancakes to the community of Denver City at the drive through pancake breakfast held by First Assembly of God.
Clad in protective gear and big smiles, these young ladies helped prepare pancake boxes that were handed out to folks in the drive through line at the church. Hannah and Dakota made deliveries to Yoakum County Hospital, the Denver City Police Department, Shinnery Oaks Community, Thriftway, Dollar General, Denver City Pharmacy, and Liberty Drug.
Take out boxes were donated by Kim Riley-Aguilar of Buckboard Diner. Thank you all for serving our community
