Celtic fans have been through it all, they might even be on par with the San Francisco 49ers for heartbreaking ending seasons. Losing to the Miami Heat twice in the conference finals and losing to the Golden State Warriors in the NBA finals in recent years. With all that disappointment, this could be the year that they pull it off.

Unless some cosmic event should happen, the Celtics should finish off the Cavaliers and move on to the next round. Where they will face the Knicks most likely, and I don’t think the Knicks are good enough to compete with the Celtics. Josh Hart, Jalen Brunson, and company shouldn’t be able to keep up with that loaded Celtics squad. We’re talking about Jayson Tatum, Jaylon Brown, Porzingis, Holiday, etc. All excellent players who deserve the notoriety they get. They should look to be representing the East in the NBA finals, but who will they match up against?

My guess would be the Denver Nuggets representing the West again. I think the Thunder are too young of a team to know how to handle certain moments in the playoffs. The Mavericks in my eyes have two players, Luka, and Kyrie and that’s all. Everything falls apart after that. The Timberwolves look to be in shambles after Denver took back control of the series and Jokic showed us why he is the 3-time winning MVP. Defensively I see the Celtics being able to slow the Nuggets down enough to win. The x-factor in question is Jayson Tatum. Is he going to be the killer that Kobe was, leading his team and hoisting that trophy? Elevating himself to superstardom or just remaining a really good player and falling under the Charles Barkley’s of the world. Time will only tell.
