Helen Marie Huston, 89, of Stamford passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2023, in an Abilene Hospital. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 6, 2023, in the Kinney-Underwood Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Wright officiating.
Helen was born June 27, 1934, in Lafayette, Indiana to John and Helen Marie Cook Beers. She married Robert Lee Huston on August 9, 1953 in Lafayette. He passed away on September 11, 2007. She lived most of her life in Indiana before moving to Brownfield in 2004 and then to Stamford in 2009.
She enjoyed going to the VIP Center after she moved to Stamford and visiting there. Helen enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and doing crafts with them. She loved “Ashes” her cat.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; one grandson D. J. Huston, and three brothers.
She is lovingly survived by sons Donald Robert and Ronda Huston of Cross Plains, Texas, Dennis Lee and Debra Huston of Pensacola, Florida and Darwin and Irma Huston of Stamford, Texas; nine brothers and sisters; 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
The family has requested any memorials be made in her name to the Stamford VIP Center and the Pink Ladies in Stamford.
