Swayde Roberts passed away on October 3, 2026, at the age of 30. Born on August 16, 1996, Swayde lived a life marked by kindness, deep love for the people around him, and a generous spirit that reached far beyond himself. A graduate of Monterey High School’s Class of 2012, Swayde went on to build a strong work ethic and a reputation for dedication in his career. From 2011 to 2022, he worked for United Supermarkets and Albertson as a grocery manager, where his steady leadership and commitment were recognized when he received the Manager of the Year award in 2021. He also worked various bartending jobs around Lubbock, bringing his warmth and easy connection with others wherever he went. Swayde enjoyed the simple and joyful parts of life. He loved video games, concerts, and stand-up comedy, and he treasured time spent with family and friends. He was kind-hearted, with a heart too big for this world, and he always wanted everyone around him to be happy, even when he himself may have been carrying more than others knew. Those who loved him will remember how immensely he loved his family and friends in return. Among the deepest parts of Swayde’s life was the love he carried for those closest to him. His niece Autumn was his heart, and he adored her dearly. He also shared a special bond with his sister Jaci, whom he thought hung the moon. These memories, and the love behind them, will remain lasting gifts to all who knew him. Even in death, Swayde’s compassion continued to touch lives. After his passing, his left kidney was donated to a 48-year-old woman who had been on the waiting list for more than 2,000 days, and his right kidney was donated to a 69-year-old man. In this final act of generosity, Swayde gave hope and healing to others, reflecting the same selfless heart that defined his life. Swayde is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Mary Pettigrew; maternal great grandparents, Tom and Martha Pettigrew and Ralph and Betty Messick; paternal grandfather, Jackie Roberts; paternal great grandparents, Dick and Janette Willey and Doc and Dorothy Roberts and uncle, Jon Willey.

Swayde is survived by his mother Pebble Dawson and step father Michael; father, Sean Roberts; sisters, Jaci Roberts and Mallori Dawson; brother, Mason Dawson; maternal grandfather, Tom Pettigrew; paternal grandmother, Janey Roberts; uncle Scott Roberts and wife Misty; beloved niece, Autumn Whitehead; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins and best buddy, Payton Mayers.
