Funeral services for Lela Mae Tanner Hobbs 86, of Seagraves, Texas, will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, April 8, 2023, at Ratliff Funeral Chapel of Denver City, eulogy presented by Pastor Gail Faries assisted by Brad Ferguson and Ronnie Hedges.
Interment will follow in the Terry County Cemetery, Brownfield Texas, under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Homes. Visitation and reflection of life will be held Friday, April 7, 2023, from 6:00 P.M. until 7:30 P.M. in the Ratliff Funeral Home Chapel.
She passed away on April 4, 2023, in Denver City, Texas.
Lela Mae was born July 28, 1936, to Marvin Tanner & Sallie Kirkland Tanner in Haskell County Texas.
She married Darwin B. Hobbs in Plains, Texas on November 24, 1954.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Darwin; and three sisters, Joyce Lee Jenkins; Jane Ivey, and Sylvia Bill Blount.
Lela Mae is survived by her sons: Marvin Hobbs (Jonette Cook), Darwin B. Hobbs (Paulette); Four daughters: Diann Peeler (Royce), Vinita Hobbs; Brenda Smith; Mary Ann Mahler (Wayne); two sisters: Frankie Jo Baker and Rebecca Ferguson along with 16 Grandchildren & 15 Great Grandchildren.
