Graveside Services for Zelma Miller will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, September 11, 2023, at Terry County Memorial Cemetery. Funeral Services will follow at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Brownfield.

Visitation will be held from 5 pm to 7 pm, on Sunday, September 10, 2023, at Brownfield Funeral Home.
Zelma passed away on September 5, 2023, at the age of 91. She was born on October 18, 1931, in Campbell, Texas, to her parents Ernest and Clara (Chaffin) Foote.
Zelma was a woman of many talents and passions throughout her life. She took great pride in her quilting, creating intricate and beautiful masterpieces that showcased her skill. Her quilts served as cherished heirlooms that warmed the lives of those lucky enough to receive them. Additionally, Zelma found solace and inspiration in the pages of her cherished Bible, finding guidance and strength in her faith.
Zelma’s dedication to her community extended beyond her personal pursuits. She worked diligently as the City Secretary for the City of Brownfield, serving and supporting the local government in their efforts to better the community she called home. Her commitment and attention to detail were greatly valued, and she became a trusted figure in her role. Zelma is preceded in death by her husband Stanley Miller; her parents Ernest and Clara Foote; daughter Dian Dawson; son-in-law Marvin Dawson; 2 brothers and a sister.
Zelma is survived by a daughter Vickie Coker; 5 grandchildren, Michael Dawson, Jeromy Dawson, Christopher McMillan, Casey Coker, and Nicholas Coker; and 5 great-grandchildren.
