Two suspects have been arrested in connection with the brutal murder of 57 year-old Joe Caserez of Meadow. Caserez was found murdered in his home late Monday night.
Dakota Chance Brannan, 20 was located in the Crosbyton area by the Texas Rangers and is currently detained. They located him broke down on the side of the road. Rangers were able to detain him. He has been charged with capital murder
The Rangers also arrested Brittany Ann Trevino, 21 in connection with the murder, and she has also been charged with capital murder.
Both remain in the Crosby County jail. No bond has been set.
It is not known at this time what the motive was behind the murder.
This is the first murder in Terry County since the July 2018 murder of Lisa Blankenship by her husband Kurt. This occurred east of Meadow.
Also, in 2018 was the murder of Evan Anderson in June. Anderson was killed at the Jake Geron Park. Two suspects were arrested and have been indicted.
