Vols win it all

The Tennessee volunteers went on the beat the Texas A&M Aggies 6-5 in game 3 of the NCAA men’s baseball tournament. This is Tennessee’s first MCWS win in the history of the program. The runs started early for Tennessee scoring one in the first and two in the third inning. By the seventh inning, the Vols were up 6-1, that’s when the Aggies decided to wake up and play ball. Schott would bring a run in by a single to center field in the eighth inning.

With one out left at the top of the ninth, pressure mounting for the Vols pitcher, he threw a wild pitch allowing the runner on third base to score, bringing the score to 6-5.  Despite the miraculous performance and scoring one run in the eighth and two in the ninth inning, the Aggies fall short. As it was the final out and 1-2 count, and the pitch would be thrown. A swing and a miss for the Aggies batter, as it was just outside of his reach. This would make it the fifth Baseball national champion, while having to teams represent the SEC in the MWCS and as of right now, this makes the SEC own football and baseball.
