Family and friends will gather to celebrate the life of William Trenton Trent Darby, 40, of Lubbock from 6-8 p.m. this evening, July 8, 2014, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 9, 2014, at Southcrest Baptist Church. Trent went to be with the Lord on July 5, 2014. He grew up in Brownfield and graduated from Brownfield High School. Trent spent many special times with his maternal grandparents, Dub and Cody Fulford. He graduated from South Plains College with an associate’s degree. Following graduation from South Plains College, Trent moved to Lubbock and graduated from Lubbock Christian University in May of 1999 with an MIS degree. Trent worked as a computer programmer for KiCorp. A life changing experience happened on Sept. 21, 2012, when Trent married the love of his life, Tiffany Suzette Hash. They enjoyed spending time and making a home together. His horizons were also expanded as he and Tiffany traveled, just returning from a trip to Italy. Always having been a cowboy, Trent enjoyed bull and saddle bronc riding as a younger man. As an adult, he enjoyed Professional Bull Riding events, hunting, and bass fishing, where he participated in many tournaments at Lake Alan Henry. Trent was a Christian, outgoing, kind hearted, a loyal friend and he LOVED BIG. Trent adored his niece, Taryn, and you saw his silly side come out when he was with her. He spent many hours in prayer and never made a hasty decision. He was a member of Southcrest Baptist Church. Trent especially loved his Schnauzers, Buddy and Roxie. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lee Fulford and maternal and paternal grandparents. Survivors include his wife, Tiffany; sister, Teresa Porter and husband, Paul of Lubbock; a very special and beloved niece, Taryn Porter of Lubbock; his father, Charles Darby and wife, Judy of Lubbock; aunt, Fran Ebel and husband, Mike of Columbus, NE; and a great aunt, Marilyn McPhaul and husband, Jack of Lubbock.
