Stella C. Escobedo, age 52 passed from this life on December 19, 2015 in Lubbock.
Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at 10:00 A.M., at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church with father Edwardo To and Father Gerald Leatham officiating burial will follow at Brownfield Cemetery. Rosary will be Monday, December 21, 2015 and Tuesday, December 22, at 6:00 P.M at Mark A Jones Memorial Chapel. Personal services have been entrusted to Mark A Jones Funeral Directors of Brownfield.
Stella was born to Frank Cervantes and Marcelina Piedra on July 15, 1963 in Brownfield, TX.
Stella lived in Brownfield all her life and was a member at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. Stella married the love of her life Jose Escobedo on November 28, 1985 in Brownfield.
She loved to go dancing, gardening, and loved to play card games pyramid solitaire was one of her favorite games to play. She also enjoyed playing bingo and watching her 2 boys play sports. Stella loved to spoil her grandkids and liked to travel when she could she also liked to go camping. Those left to cherish her memories are husband: Jose Escobedo of the home; 2 sons: Frank Escobedo and wife Deanna of Brownfield; Jose Escobedo and wife Monica of Plainview; 1 stepson: Jose Angel Escobedo of Lubbock; 1 stepdaughter: Amanda Escobedo of Anton; her father and stepmother: Frank and Elia Cervantes of Brownfield; and her paternal grandmother: Anna Maria Salas of Lubbock; 3 sisters: Carmalinda Gomez of Brownfield; Irene Valencia of Hale Center; Lola Cervantes of Cactus.
She was also blessed with 12 grandchildren
She is preceded in death by her mother, 1 daughter: Kimberly Nicole Diaz; 1 sister: Mary Ester Cervantes; 1 niece: Daniela Hernandez.
