Meadow ISD earned a “B” in the 2026 Texas Education Agency accountability ratings, finishing with an overall score of 85. Because Meadow ISD is a single-campus district, the state directs users to the Meadow School campus report for the district’s accountability results. Meadow School serves students from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade.
The 2026 rating gives Meadow ISD strong marks in several areas, including Student Achievement, School Progress and Closing the Gaps. The district received a score of 86, or “B,” in Student Achievement. School Progress came in at 81, also earning a “B,” while Closing the Gaps received a scaled score of 83 and a “B.”
Student Achievement makes up 70 percent of Meadow’s overall accountability rating. That category looks at STAAR performance along with college, career and military readiness and graduation rates for high school students. Meadow’s STAAR Performance component received a raw score of 41 and a scaled score of 70, while the district’s College, Career and Military Readiness score was much stronger.
Across all subjects, Meadow students took 311 STAAR tests included in the 2026 accountability calculations. Of those tests, 71 percent reached Approaches Grade Level or higher, 41 percent reached Meets Grade Level or higher and 10 percent reached Masters Grade Level.
Reading and language arts was one of Meadow’s stronger subjects. Seventy percent of the 129 tests reached Approaches Grade Level or higher, while 48 percent reached Meets and 14 percent reached Masters. In mathematics, 70 percent reached Approaches, 32 percent reached Meets and 7 percent reached Masters.
Science posted the district’s strongest Meets Grade Level percentage among the four main tested subjects. Seventy-nine percent of science tests reached Approaches Grade Level or higher, while 52 percent reached Meets and 7 percent reached Masters. In social studies, 71 percent reached Approaches, 29 percent reached Meets and 6 percent reached Masters.
The numbers show that many Meadow students are reaching at least the Approaches standard, but fewer are moving into the Meets and Masters levels, especially in mathematics and social studies. Those areas will likely remain important as the district works to raise its Student Achievement score in future years.
One of Meadow ISD’s strongest areas was College, Career and Military Readiness, often called CCMR. Of the 27 graduates included in the 2026 calculation, 25 met at least one CCMR standard, giving Meadow a component score of 93 percent.
The CCMR data shows that 25 of the 27 graduates, or 92.6 percent, met Texas Success Initiative criteria in both reading and mathematics. All 27 graduates met at least one TSI indicator in reading and language arts, while 25 met at least one indicator in mathematics. Twelve students earned qualifying dual-course credit, six earned an approved industry-based certification and two enlisted in the U.S. Armed Forces.
Graduation was another major bright spot for Meadow ISD. The district posted a 100 percent four-year graduation rate for the Class of 2025. The five-year graduation rate for the Class of 2024 and the six-year graduation rate for the Class of 2023 were also 100 percent. Meadow also reported a zero percent annual dropout rate for grades 9 through 12 during the 2024-25 school year.
School Progress was more mixed. Meadow earned an overall School Progress score of 81, which resulted in a “B.” However, the two measurements used to determine School Progress showed very different results. Academic Growth received a component score of 56 and a scaled score of 57, resulting in an “F,” while Relative Performance earned an 81, or “B.”
Academic Growth measures how much individual students improve from one year to the next in reading and mathematics. Meadow had 187 tests evaluated for annual academic growth. Of those, 89 earned a full growth point, 26 earned half a point and 72 received no annual growth points. After accelerated learning points were included, Meadow finished with an Academic Growth score of 56.
Relative Performance compares a school’s performance with other schools serving similar percentages of economically disadvantaged students. According to TEA, 54.8 percent of Meadow’s students were economically disadvantaged for this calculation. Meadow earned an 81 in Relative Performance, which gave the district the stronger of the two School Progress scores.
Closing the Gaps also resulted in a “B” for Meadow ISD. The district earned a raw Closing the Gaps score of 66, which converted to a scaled score of 83. This category measures how well different groups of students are meeting state goals in academic achievement, graduation and school quality.
Within Closing the Gaps, Meadow earned 14 of 32 possible points in Academic Achievement. The district performed much stronger in Graduation Status, earning all 12 possible points, and School Quality Status, where Meadow earned 11 of 12 possible points. Those results helped raise the final Closing the Gaps score despite weaker results in some academic achievement areas.
The 2026 report also shows that Meadow School was not identified by the state for Comprehensive Support and Improvement, Targeted Support and Improvement or Additional Targeted Support. Those programs are used to identify schools that need added attention because of overall performance or the performance of certain student groups.
Overall, Meadow ISD’s 2026 accountability results show several important strengths. A perfect graduation rate, a 93 percent College, Career and Military Readiness score and “B” ratings in Student Achievement, School Progress and Closing the Gaps helped Meadow finish with an overall score of 85.
At the same time, the Academic Growth score of 57 stands out as the district’s largest area for improvement. The results show that Meadow is doing well in preparing students to graduate and take their next steps after high school, but continued work will be needed to make sure students are also showing stronger year-to-year academic growth.
The final 2026 rating gives Meadow ISD a solid “B” and shows a district with strong graduation and postsecondary readiness results, along with clear academic areas where future improvement can be made.
