Funeral Service for Marvalyn Wilson Reed will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Seagraves First Baptist Church with David Boyd officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday, June 13, 2025, at Brownfield Funeral Home.
Marvalyn was born on July 14, 1968, to Lawrence Wilson and Beatrice Basped in Kermit, TX. She passed away on June 6, 2025, at the age of 56.
Marvalyn’s home was a haven for loved ones, a place where friends and family would gather, drawn by her kindness and genuine love for others. She found joy in simple pleasures–spending peaceful afternoons on her porch, surrounded by laughter, and indulging in her passion for playing bingo and watching game shows. These moments embodied Marvalyn’s spirit, reminding all who knew her of the beauty in everyday life.
Marvalyn was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Beatrice Wilson. She is survived by her husband, Danny Reed of Seagraves; children, Darnesha Tatum and husband Alan of Brownfield, Donovan Reed and Ronny of Seagraves and Demetras Reed of Andrews; grandchildren, Austin, Tessa, Trinity, T.J., Tayden and Tinzlee; and siblings, Richard Wilson and wife Carolyn of Seagraves, Spencer Wilson and wife Teri of Seagraves, Marie Peterson and husband Mike of Seagraves.
