Leobardo R. Marquez, age 55 passed from this life on May 8, 2015 in Lubbock.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church with Father Gerald Leatham officiating. Burial will follow at Meadow Cemetery in Meadow. Rosary will be Tuesday May 12, 2015 at 6:30 P.M at Mark A Jones Memorial Chapel. Personal services have been entrusted to Mark A Jones Funeral Directors of Brownfield.
Leobardo was born to Muorilio and Consuelo Marquez on February 18, 1960 in Mexico.
Leobardo moved to Levelland in 1984 and married the loved of is life Angelita Villalpando on January 12, 1984 in Brownfield. He worked for Butch’s Rathole for 10 years and was a member of the St Anthony’s Catholic Church for many years.
He loved to be outside cooking on his grill and keeping up with his vegetable garden and his fruit trees. He also loved to play soccer and go fishing. He loved to spend time with his family especially his grandkids, Leobardo always made sure his parents were taken good care of.
Those left to cherish his memories are wife, of 31 years, Angelita Marquez of the home; Parents: Maurilio and Consuelo Marquez of Mexico; 3 Sons: Oney Marquez and wife Gina of Brownfield, Larry and Roberto Marquez both of Levelland; 1 daughter: Marivel Marquez of Levelland; 2 Brother: Fidel Marquez and wife Judith of Iowa, and Noe Marquez and wife Ruviela of Mexico; 3 sisters: Manuela Montesinos Marquez and husband Roberto of Chicago, Eloina Montesinos Marquez and husband Aguedo and Teresa Marquez and husband Ocasiano all of Mexico.
He was also blessed with 5 grandchildren
