Funeral service for Kay Francis Abbott, 83, of Plainview will be at 10:00 am Monday, May 1, 2023, at Brownfield Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rev. Chris Seaton officiating. Burial will follow at 2:00 pm at Memory Gardens Cemetery of Amarillo, under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.
Viewing will be from 12:00 pm – 8:00 pm Sunday, April 30, 2023, at Brownfield Funeral Home.
Kay was born on September 30, 1939, to Jeff and Dixie Hollinger in Tahoka. She grew up in Amarillo and married Charles Rodney Abbott in 1968. Kay enjoyed crafts and was an avid collector. Her family was everything to her. Kay passed away Thursday, April 27, 2023, in Brownfield.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Abbott; parents, Jeff and Dixie Hollinger; brother, Lewis Hollinger; and son-in-law, Richard McKennon.
Kay is survived by her daughter, Kayla McKennon and husband Paul Cardelli; son, Jeff Abbott and wife Sharla; brother, Jeff Hollinger; grandchildren, Ian Abbott, Alyssa McKennon and fiancé Peter Furlong, Meagan Fosha and husband Andrew, Matthew McKennon, Blake Rogers, Kyra Ziatas, Kendall McKennon, and Jolie Abbott.
