The JV Mustangs came up with 11 runs over the first three innings and coasted from there to a 13-3 win over Roosevelt Saturday on the Mustangs home field.
Daven Blanco and Spencer Marion paced the Mustangs with 3 hits each, Ty Brumley added two hits and Darren Pacheco, Abel Trejo, George Barriga, and Noah Castillo all finished with one hit.
Trejo, Marion, and Brumley each had 2 RBI’s while Pacheco and Blanco both had one.
Brumley went four and two thirds innings giving up three runs on four hits, struck out 11 and issued four base on balls. Pacheco came in and got the final out.
The win raised the Mustangs season record to 6-5 and left them 3-0 in district play.
They will travel to Brownfield on Tuesday and will return home on Saturday to play Slaton.
