Funeral Services for Juan Alberto Alonzo, 91, of Seagraves will be held at 10:00 AM. Tuesday, August 24, 2021 in the St. Paul’s Catholic Church with Father Jose De Dios Gonzalez officiating. Interment will follow in the Gaines County Cemetery of Seagraves, Texas under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home of Seagraves.
Juan passed away on Thursday, August 19, 2021 in Seagraves, Tx.
Juan was born March 8, 1930 in Zaragoza, Coahuila to Santos and Maria De Jesus Munoz Alonzo. He married Hortensia Ortiz January 17, 1953 in Allende, Coahuila. Juan was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Seagraves. He was an honest, humble, and very hard-working man. He had to keep busy all day. Juan could be very strict, but he had a heart of gold. He loved watching western movies. He was the kind of person that would give you the shirt off his back and always made sure you were eating before he was. Juan was one in a “MILLION”
He is preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers; Salvador Alonzo and Jose Alonzo, 4 sisters; Maria Alonzo, Cuca Alonzo, Juana Alonzo, and Lupe Alonzo.
Juan is survived by his wife Hortensia Alonzo of the home, eight daughters; Juanita Medina, Rosario Guerrero, Mary Cavazos, Olga Briones all of Seagraves, Rosa Marquez of Mesquite, Lupe Martinez of Dallas, Martha Conde of Midland, and Norma Gonzales of Andrews, two sons; Victor Alonzo of Pecos and Joe Alonzo of Seagraves, two sisters; Adela Alonzo of Eagle Pass and Aurelia Alonzo of San Antonio, two brothers; Santos Alonzo Jr. and Manuel Alonzo both of Eagle Pass, thirty grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
