Funeral services for Jose “Joe” Flores, Jr., age 80 of Midland, Texas, formerly of Denver City, Texas, will be held Saturday, April 26, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at First Assembly of God Church with Pastor Ken Morgan officiating. Burial will follow at Denver City Memorial Park. All services are under the direction of Boyer Memorial Chapel of Denver City, in association with Boyer Funeral Home of Seminole, Texas.

Mr. Flores was born in Thrall, Texas on May 27, 1944 to Refugia (Chavez) and Jose Flores, Sr. He married Mary Palmares. He was Pentecostal and worked in the oilfield. Joe had a strong Christian faith and loved his family dearly. He enjoyed watching the Texas Rangers, spoiling his grandchildren, eating McDonalds, cookies, and Dr. Pepper. He never met a stranger.
Joe Flores passed away at his home in Midland, Texas on Monday, April 21, 2025. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Flores in 2014; one son, Joe Raymond Flores; one daughter, Diane Flores, one grandson, Nikolas Flores; three granddaughters, Hilary Flores, Ashley Luna, and Angelica Luna; and one great-granddaughter, Kamilla Corado.
He is survived by two sons, Richard Flores of Brownfield, Texas, and Jimmy Flores and wife Veronica of Denver City, Texas; five daughters, Betty Flores of Lubbock, Texas, Josie Lozano and husband Johnny of Midland, Texas, Isabel Luna and husband Valentin of Midland, Texas, Jennifer Saldana and husband Chris of Brownfield, Texas, and Danielle Flores of Midland, Texas; six brothers, Ciprano Flores and wife Gloria of Denver City, Jesse Flores of Denver City, George Flores and wife Linda of Taylor, Texas, Andrew Flores of Denver City, John Flores and wife Nettie of Lubbock, Texas, and Tony Flores of Denver City; two sisters, Connie Ochoa and husband Pauli of Denver City, and Estella Delarosa of Hobbs, New Mexico; 21 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
