John Charles Lane Jr, age 61 passed from this life on May 4, 2015 in Brownfield.
Funeral Services will be Friday, 2:00 P.M., Friday, May 8, 2015, at Mark A Jones Memorial Chapel in Brownfield with Pastor Santos Gamez officiating. Personal services have been entrusted to Mark A Jones Funeral Directors of Brownfield.
John was born to John and Mary Lane SR on August 13, 1953 in Amarillo, TX.
He lived in Brownfield all of his life and graduated in 1971. He married, the love of his life, Olivia Alvarado on February 14, 2004 in Brownfield.
John served in the Marine Core March 1972 to July 1973. During this time he received the National Defense Services Medal and the Rifle Sharpshooters Badge.
He was a very big fan of the football team Pittsburg Steelers. He also loved to cook and work on cars. Another one of his hobbies included looking at classic cars and spending time with his grandchildren were a big part of his life. His family will tell you how kind hearted John was he was always willing to lend a help-ing hand
Those left to cherish his memories are wife, Olivia Lane of the home; 3 sons Ruben Morin and wife Kathrin and Jessie Morin all of Brownfield and James Morin and wife Brittany of Lubbock; 1 daughter: Norma Rodriguez and husband Enrique of Brownfield; 2 sisters: Debbie Fletcher and Donna Cervantez both of Henrietta, TX, His mother Mary Lane of Brownfield. He was also blessed with 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He will be missed by many.
He is preceded in death by his dad John Lane SR.
