Joe C. “Jogie” De La Rosa, 67, passed away on February 17, 2024 in Porterville, California surrounded by his loved ones. Joe was born on March 21, 1957 in Fort Ord, California to the late Mr. and Mrs. Salome C. De La Rosa. At the age of 18, he joined the National Guard. He loved to go fishing and be a mechanic when he grew up in Brownfield.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Salome C. De La Rosa; his wife, Betty Robles; brother, Mario R. De La Rosa; sisters, Natividad De La Rosa, Salome “Nina” De La Rosa, Dolores De La Rosa, and Mary Garcia.
He is survived by his brothers, Daniel R. De La Rosa and wife from Bonita Springs, Florida, Ignacio De La Rosa and wife from Salado, Texas, and Johnny De La Rosa from Tulare, California; sisters, Lupe O. Avila from Brownwood, Texas, Virginia Gonzales from Brownfield, Texas, Sally De La Rosa from Brownfield, Texas, Ofelia Martinez from Florida, Frances Robles from Porterville, California, and Rosa Vallejo from Piedras Negras, Coahuila; numerous nieces, nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Joe C. De La Rosa will be on Friday, March 1, 2024 from 9:00am-8:00pm at Ratliff Funeral Home Chapel in Brownfield, Texas. Funeral Services will be Saturday, March 2, 2024 at 10:00am at Ratliff Funeral Home Chapel in Brownfield, Texas followed by interment at Terry County Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers are Steve Navarro, Michael Gongora, Pedro Estrada, Michael Estrada, Devin Estrada, and Gabino Estrada.
He was always smiling and could put a smile on anyone’s face.
