Janet Dea Harrelson left us on Dec. 31, 2014, to be with our Heavenly Father. Born in Lubbock on June 21, 1952, to Dea and LaVoyle Parker, she spent her early years in Tahoka and Brownfield, and then later moved to Lubbock where she raised her son and worked for the US Post Office. Janet loved her family and had many good times with her grandson, Deajay Kristopher, who was the love of her life and her little buddy. She enjoyed playing poker with special friends, David and Evalee Sharp, fishing, and taking care of her cats and turtles. She was independent and witty and will be missed by all. She is survived by son, Dea Jay Harrelson; grandson, Deajay; and brother, Doyle Parker and his wife, Tonia. Janet’s ashes will be spread at a special place in New Mexico where she spent many happy times with her son.
