Jan King, 64, of Pea Ridge; passed away Saturday, June 17, 2023, at Northwest Medical Center, Bentonville. She was born Saturday, November 8, 1958, at Seagraves, Texas; to Elbert Wayne Hicks and Jean Gibbs Hicks.
Jan married Randall Eugene King on Friday, October 3, 1980, at Fayetteville; and was employed at Glad Manufacturing. Camping, fishing, gardening, traveling, and shopping at yard sales were some of her favorite activities. She adored animals, especially her pet parrot, “Sunny”, as well as cats, dogs, and horses.
Jan was preceded in death by her parents, Elbert Hicks and Jean Hicks. She is survived by her husband, Randall King, of the home; five sisters and two brothers-in-law, Teressa and Gary Hart, of Pea Ridge; Cyndy Zerbest, of Rogers; Sherry Zerbest, of Rogers; Jennifer Myers, of Berryville; and Raichel and Dewayne Mathis, of Marble Falls, Texas; three brothers and one sister-in-law, Joe and Lori Bolen, of Springdale; Wayne Hicks, of Oark; and Chad Hicks, of Rogers. Jan is also survived by her step-mother, Shirley Hollaway, and husband, Kenneth, of Huntsville; three aunts, Maudine Collier of Metalton; Francis Vineyard, of Leveland, Texas; Charlotte Gibbs, of Lorenzo, Texas; one uncle, Leon Gibbs, of Lemesa, Texas; a special nephew, Zandr Bressler; and many other nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM, Friday, June 23, 2023, at Brashears Funeral Home. Memorial services will follow at 2:00 PM, with Kevin Holloway officiating. Services are entrusted to Brashears Funeral Home and Crematory of Huntsville.
