Eric and Michelle Horton of Brownfield are proud to announce the engagement and approaching marriage of one of their daughters Michaela to Evan Watts, son of Brent and Pam Watts of Waco, Texas. The couple will be married at the elegant and historic Watson Building in Lubbock Texas on June 21, 2025.
The bride-elect is a 2019 graduate of Wellman-Union High School and 2023 graduate of Texas Tech University receiving her Bachelor’s degree in English. Currently Michaela is in her second year of teaching at the elementary level at Denver City ISD.
The groom-to-be is a 2021 Midway (Waco) High School and a 2024 graduate of Texas Tech University receiving his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Evan will be receiving his Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Texas Tech in August 2025.
After their wedding, the couple will reside depending where Evan will continue with his education to pursue his doctoral in mechanical engineering.
