Ms. Frances “Elaine” Floyd (née Parker) passed away peacefully on May 28, 2025, in Fort Worth, Texas, at the age of 75. Born on June 15, 1949, in Plainview, Texas, Elaine lived a life defined by faith, compassion, and unwavering love for her family.

A devoted Christian woman, Elaine’s faith was the cornerstone of her life. Her belief in God guided her every step-filling her with grace during hardship and inspiring acts of kindness that touched all who knew her. Whether offering comfort to a friend or sharing what little she had with someone in need, Elaine’s heart was always open.

Elaine found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She had a passion for ceramics and pottery, often losing herself in the creative process. She also delighted in thrifting-searching for hidden treasures. But above all, her greatest joy came from time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchild. Their laughter lit up her world, and she cherished every moment with them.

She is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Cindy Gates (and husband Joey Gates) and Rhonda Belew (and partner Dave McCaslin); her grandchildren, Sydney Gordineer, Liam Belew, and Jadyn Gates; and her great-grandson, Braxton Gordineer. She also leaves behind her sister, Pat Parker.

Elaine now joins in eternal rest her beloved parents, Homer and Shirley Parker; her brother, John Parker; and her niece, Judy Parker.

Her legacy is one of selflessness, quiet courage, and enduring love. Even in the face of life’s challenges, Elaine chose grace over complaint and love over resentment. Her strength inspired those around her, and the lives she touched are forever changed by her presence.

Though our hearts are heavy with loss, we are profoundly grateful for the time we shared-for the warmth of her embrace, the wisdom of her words, and the boundless love she gave so freely. Her memory will forever be a blessing to all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations in her name be made to the National Adrenal Diseases Foundation (NADF) at www.nadf.us.
