A sloppy day in the field led to 15 Fillie errors that proved to be the difference in the game as the Fillies dropped an 18-9 decision to Lubbock Christian on the Fillies home field.
Lubbock Christian opened up an 8-0 lead in their first two at bats before Fillies closed the gap with 4 runs in the bottom of the second inning. However the visitors came back with 3 more in their half of the third to make it an 11-4 game.
The Fillies continued to battle back with 3 runs in the bottom of the 4th, but Lubbock Christian closed out the game on a 7-2 run for the win.
Hanna Gonzales had a good day at the plate finishing with 3 hits, 2 runs scored and 1 RBI. Jewel Santillan, Heidi Gonzales, Isela Chavez, Johnna Hix, and Haleigh Gonzales all had 2 hits while Julie Barrientes, Bailey Marin, and Haley Villerreal all finished with 1 hit.
