September 19, 1961 – January 23, 2022
The pages of life for Ella Louise began on September 19, 1961, to the parentage of Walter Harrell Sr. and Erma Lee Harrell in Brownfield, Texas. A visitation will be held Sunday January 30, 2022 5- 8 p.m. in the Chapel of Grace Funeral Care- Brownfield. A celebraton of life service will commence Monday January 31, 2022 11 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church in Brownfield. She will be laid to rest in the historic Mt.Zion Cemetery. She attended Brownfield Public Schools and completed nursing courses at South Plains College Reese Center.
Ella worked 25+ years in the medical field. She had a passion for life and general love for humanity. She helped many grieving families as a live in-home health hospice nurse. Ella ended her career at Arlington Memorial Hospital.
Ella was an avid consolatory and advocate for those in need. She would give you her last while ensuring you knew exactly what was on her mind. Ella was unapologetically her! Take it or take it, those were your options. Always willing to help or lend a bed or sofa, she wasn’t ok until you were.
Preceded in death by her parents, Walter, and Erma Harrell; brothers, Bill, Walter Jr., Gilbert, J.T., Stance, Maurice, and J.W.; and sisters, Inez, Vera, Bobbie, Joyce, Earlene and Bessie.
She leaves to cherish her memories daughter, Tennille David and son, Douglass Harrell. Her grandchildren Terrance David (Darian), Xavier Mason, Mackenzie Mason, and Jordan Williams. Great-grandchildren, her “tinkerbutts”, Anthony, Jamal, Karma and Damien David; her fur babies, Chi-Chi, and Capone.
She also leaves to cherish her memories: her brothers, Robert and Johnny of Eastland, Texas, David (Kathy) of Dallas, Texas, Douglas, and Claude (Felicia) of Brownfield, Texas; sisters, Merlene, Dorothy, Annie, Frances, and Leatrice of Brownfield, Texas; one uncle, Willie K. Ross Sr. and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The care of the Harrell family are entrusted the professionals of Grace Funeral Care Inc.
