BHS Graduation to be broadcast via Mascot Media App

by admin

A kid grows up in Terry County around cotton fields and a few oil wells. You never know what they are going to accomplish. We all know West Texas kids are the best kids around! We know all our kids will accomplish great things.

One Terry County kid all grown up is partially responsible for the app that will be broadcasting BHS Graduation on Friday night. Tony Timmons, who attended BHS and then graduated from Wellman-Union High School is a co-owner of Mascot Media. Mascot Media is a nationwide media development company who is on the cutting edge of what is to come in accessing school activities from UIL literary to morning announcements to Friday Night Lights.

As Tony says, this app is a one stop shop for schools. “Why we would we not want to tie into the one device that virtually every kid has in their pocket all day long – their phones. We have developed something that has the potential to provide all the information a student or parent needs about what is going on at school.”

The graduation broadcast could be only the beginning. This app, which you will need to add on your phone, has the potential to give all of us another connection to our child’s school and activities.

“This app has a plethora of opportunities for use and has the possibility of even being a tool used by schools for students to learn to broadcast and become the sportscaster,” stated Timmons.

Stay tuned for more from this company and be sure to tune in on Friday night at 8 p.m. to watch the 2020 BHS Graduation as it happens.
