The Brownfield Police Department would like to welcome all the students and parents back to school. School begins this Wednesday, August 13, 2025. We want to see healthy and safe students return to school this year. As such, citizens can expect to see an increased police presence in and around our schools and along the city’s bus routes. We are asking for the public’s help in being patient in lines at the school, driving the speed limit in school zones, and stopping for pedestrians in crosswalks. Please remember that state law requires motorists to stop for buses loading and unloading while the red lights on the buses are activated.
The Brownfield Police Department will be out enforcing traffic laws and ensuring that our children are safe as they return to school. We are requesting your assistance by adhering to these laws and ensuring that our children remain safe.
