Geronimo’s life was defined by his unwavering love for the great outdoors. An avid hunter and fisherman, he found joy in the simple pleasures of nature, often bringing home the fruits of his labor to share with his family. His dedication to a self-sustaining lifestyle was reflected in his passion for planting fruits and vegetables, and no one could sharpen a knife quite like him. Cooking outdoors on his disc and grill was both a joy and a family tradition, particularly when preparing seafood dishes that brought everyone together.

Geronimo devoted over thirty years of his life to Amoco Oil, a career that allowed him to explore the beauty of God’s creation and foster his love for adventure and nature. Those who knew him were often treated to exciting stories about the creatures he encountered during his work, which he would share with a sense of wonder and delight.

After the passing of his beloved wife of 58 years, Maria Gonzales, Geronimo’s heart remained steadfastly loyal, and he lived only 22 more days, demonstrating the depth of his love.

Geronimo was preceded in death by: his wife Maria Gonzales; parents Geronimo Gonzales Senior, Refugia Galindo Gonzales; sisters Beatrice Perez and Amanda Herrera. He is survived by his children: Javier Gonzales and wife Julie, Teresa Garcia and husband Pete, Victoria Campos and husband Cuatemoc, Gerry Gonzales; grandchildren: Brittnie Gonzales, Tony Gonzales, Victoria Gonzales, Marcos Garcia, Lorena Garcia, Olivia Villalpando, Adrian Villalpando, Allianna Villalpando; great-grandchildren: Leighton, Paislee, Scarlett, Emilia, Aurora, Kehlani; siblings Francis Hernandez, Lydia Leija, Alfredo Gonzales and wife Michelle, Robert Gonzales, Elvira Fonseca and husband Daniel, and Jose Gonzales and wife Teresa.
