Larry Joe Franco Sr. 59, of Brownfield passed away at his residence on September 27, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. A public visitation was held Friday September 30, 2022, from 1 – 8 p.m. at the chapel of Grace Funeral Care located at 1211 Lubbock Road in Brownfield. Mr. Franco was born January 29, 1963, in Brownfield to Jesus and Petra Franco. Larry married Janie Franco in 1981. Together they raised their children in Brownfield.
Larry is survived by his wife; Janie Franco, sons; Julian (Teresa) Franco, JJ (Clarissa) Franco, Jesus (Andrea) Franco, Ramsey Allen, Larry Joe Franco Jr., daughters; Sara Sanchez, and Christina Franco, uncle; Rogelio Franco, 21 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his father; Jesus Franco, mother; Petra Franco, and granddaughter Kaitlyn M. Garcia.
Larry enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, watching NASCAR, Texas Rangers baseball, and westerns, along with other extracurricular activities. He had a huge heart and no one was ever a stranger to him. He was a “Jack of all trades, master of none,” He worked as a welder, electrician, worked on cars, roofer, ginner, carpenter, and module truck driver.
