Funeral services for Rodney Leon Jones, 69, of Lubbock, will be held at 10 am, Monday, August 22, 2022, at Brownfield Funeral Home with Pastor Greg Sanderson officiating. Burial will follow at Terry County Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.
Family visitation will be held from 4-6 pm on Sunday, August 21, 2022, at Brownfield Funeral Home.
Rodney was born in Brownfield on March 3, 1953, to Billy Ray and Wanda Lucille (Burt) Jones. He married Janie Lee Collins on July 14, 1973, in Brownfield. Rodney enjoyed various occupations throughout his life including farmer, car dealer, horse trader, and working in construction. He passed away August 18, 2022, in Lubbock.
Rodney was preceded in death by his parents; Billy Ray and Wanda Lucille Jones.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Janie Jones; a son, Brandon Jones of Lubbock; 2 daughters, Amber Lambright (Bryce) of Andrews and Crystal Woods (Jered) of Wolfforth; 7 grandchildren, Clay York, Madison York, Jacie Woods, Bailey Jones, Brooke Woods, Spencer Jones, Logan Woods; 4 step-grandchildren, Samara Lambright, Bryton Lambright, Sadie Lambright, Sophie Lambright; a step-greatgrandchild, Paisley Murray and a brother, Donny Jones.
