The always fun Grape Capital of Texas Vineyard Festival will be held on July 30 and 31, Friday and Saturday. The event will be held at the Reddy Vineyards Event Center. The two evenings of eating, music and fun are always a hit. This year will be the ninth annual event.
Reddy Vineyards Event Center is just east of Brownfield on Hwy 380. The address is 2149 Tahoka Road.
Last year’s event was limited to one day, due to COVID precautions, so Brownfield Chamber of Commerce officials are planning for this year’s event to be one of the best yet.
The fun begins on Friday evening at 7 p.m. with food from Brownfield’s own Tencha’s, plus Back 40 Grill, Marley Meats, and the Cakery. Music will be provided by Bo Garza. The evening’s event will end at 10 p.m.
Wineries participating will be Terry County vineyards and wineries The Triple D Winery, Farmhouse Vineyards, Bingham Family Vineyards and Reddy Vineyards, as well as Llano Estacado Winery of Lubbock, Blue Duck Winery from Cisco, and Landon Winery from McKinney.
Friday night is a very relaxed Mix and Mingle affair, with dress just about anything you want it to be. Some people dress up and others come in their boots and jeans. The cost for Friday night is $45.
On Saturday, there will be the tours of the vineyards and wineries. New this year will be Antima Cellars at Narra Vineyards. Other tour stops will be at Texas Custom Wineworks, and Whitehouse Parker/Farmhouse Vineyards.
Tours will begin at 6 p.m. and will leave from Reddy Vineyards. Dinner will be served after the tours. Tickets for the Saturday tour and dinner are $45. If you prefer not to go on the tour, but would like to have dinner at the Festival, dinner tickets are $20. Saturday night’s fun will also end at 10 p.m.
Saturday night’s dining fare will be a Shrimp Boil, with Irene DeBord furnishing the desserts. Again, dress can be just about anything you want. From dressy to boots and jeans casual. You will feel right at home, no matter what!
Casey Maines will be providing the music for Saturday night.
Tickets can be purchased at the Brownfield Chamber of Commerce, or be purchased at the door.
There will also be a silent auction with some great items up for auction.
Sponsors for the event include AgTexas, BIDCorp, The Triple D, Stanley Ford, City of Brownfield, Terry County Tractor, and Texas Ag Plus.
Don’t miss the 9th Annual Grape Capital of Texas Vineyard Festival!
