On today’s PAC Show, Dan Jackson and Eric Horton welcomed Tim Snyder of Matador Economics for a timely conversation on the economy, energy, and the issues impacting West Texas and beyond.
After the interview, Dan and Eric turned their attention to Texas public school finance, discussing the growing number of school districts across the state adopting or considering deficit budgets. They examined the financial pressures districts are facing, including rising operating costs, funding challenges, enrollment changes, staffing expenses, and the difficult decisions local school boards and administrators are being forced to make.
The discussion also focused on the larger question of how taxpayer dollars are being spent, whether current funding models are sustainable, and what changes may be needed to ensure Texas schools can properly fund classrooms, teachers, staff, and essential programs without repeatedly relying on deficit spending.
It was another informative edition of the PAC Show, bringing together agriculture, energy, economics, politics, and the issues directly affecting taxpayers and communities across Texas.
