Lamb County accident takes life of two year old boy

We don’t ordinarily run stories on accidents out of county that do not involve local residents, but this one hit our hearts. Please, please wear your seatbelt and be sure that your children are buckled in safely and securely. Don’t let this type tragedy happen to you or your family!

Passenger: Arlene Julisa Lira Lopez, female, 22, of Sudan, TX

Transported to University Medical Center in Lubbock with Serious Injuries
Passenger: Juvenile Female age 3, of Sudan, TX
Seat Belt: No
Transported to University Medical Center in Lubbock with Serious Injuries
Passenger: Juvenile Male age 2, of Sudan TX
Seat Belt: No
Pronounced deceased on scene as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.

Synopsis: Vehicle 1 was traveling north on US 385. For reasons unknown at this time, the driver drove
onto the right hand improved shoulder and began to side skid and rolled multiple times. A child
passenger, was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead on scene. There were two other
occupants in the crash who received severe injuries and were transported to University Medical
Center in Lubbock. The driver sustained minor injuries and refused medical treatment.
