  • Total infections: 1,979,893 (Up 18,706)
  • Total Recoveries: 524,855 (Up 6,333)
  • Total U.S. Deaths: 112,006 (Up 999)
  • Current mortality rate in U.S. is 5.7% (No change)
  • Dr. Richard Stone, a top health official at the Department of Veterans Affairs, states the V.A. hospital system only has a 30 day supply of N-95 masks on hand and may not have enough to handle a second spike in Covid cases. Nationwide 1,655 V.A. employees have contracted the disease and 33 have died.

Texas: 

  • Total Texas Cases: 78,130 (Up 1,667)
  • 51,140 Recovered (Up 701)
  • Deaths: 1,867 (Up 19)
  • Texas mortality rate is 2.4% (No change)
  • There are more recovered than active cases in Texas 
  • 236 Texas counties reporting active cases (Up 1)
  • 2,056 lab confirmed COVID-19 patients currently hospitalized (Up 121)
  • 15,402 total hospital beds available in Texas, 1,723 ICU beds available 
  • 2.69 per 1,000 people in Texas have contracted COVID-19 (Up .5)
