  • Total infections: 1,961,187 (Up 18,824)
  • Total Recoveries: 518,522 (Up 12,155)
  • Total U.S. Deaths: 111,007 (Up 493)
  • Current mortality rate in U.S. is 5.7% (No change)
  • New Mexico is seeing a surge in healthcare workers contracting COVID-19, 492 workers were diagnosed in May. The largest increase came from Bernalillo County, home to three COVID-19 hub hospitals.

Texas: 

  • Total Texas Cases: 76,463 (Up 1,055)
  • 50,439 Recovered (Up 681)
  • Deaths: 1,848 (Up 7)
  • Texas mortality rate is 2.4% (No change)
  • There are more recovered than active cases in Texas 
  • 235 Texas counties reporting active cases (No change)
  • 1,935 lab confirmed COVID-19 patients currently hospitalized (Up 57)
  • 15,070 total hospital beds available in Texas, 1,619 ICU beds available 
  • 2.64 per 1,000 people in Texas have contracted COVID-19 (Up .4)

Regional:

  • 756 cases in Lubbock (Up 9)
  • 50 deaths from COVID-19 in Lubbock (No change)
  • 9 COVID-19 patients hospitalized in Lubbock county (Up 1)
  • 510 recovered in Lubbock County (Up 5)
  • There are more recovered than active cases in Lubbock county at this time
  • 1021 COVID-19 cases in the South Plains (Up 9)
  • 675 Cases recovered on the South Plains (Up 5)
  • 13 diagnosed cases in Terry county (No change)
  • 13 Terry county case recovered (No change)
