The Yoakum County Commissioners Court met in regular session on Monday, October 28, where they addressed a very short weekly agenda.
Moving into the agenda the Court moved to audit and settle all accounts against the County and direct their payments. After looking over the bills and addressing any concerns a motion was made and unanimously approved to pay County bills that totaled $48,734.63 and Medical facility bills that totaled $130,149.01.
County Auditor Darinda McWhirter informed the court she needed to make one correction on renewal rates for employee health benefits. The Court unanimously approved the change.
Precinct #3 Commissioner Tommy Box accepted a donation from Monadnock Management, L.L.C. for a road improvement in his precinct. This donation was unanimously approved by the Court.
County Judge Jim Barron noted there were three road crossing permit applications, no request for the disposal of county equipment, two line item transfers, and no Soil Conservation request.
Commissioners Woody Lindsey, Ray Marion, Tommy Box, and Tim Addison along with County Judge Jim Barron were all in attendance.
The next meeting will be on Monday, November 4, in the County courtroom starting at 10am.
