The West Texas Young Farmers Association will be hosting a candidate forum, featuring Lubbock Mayor Glen Robertson and Jodey Arrington who is a former aide to President George W. Bush, and a former Texas Tech vice chancellor. The candidates are in a Republican primary runoff election for the U.S. House District 19 seat, which is currently held by Rep. Randy Neugebauer(R).
Neugebauer, has held the 19th district of Texas seat for 12 years, and serves as Chairman of the Financial Institutions and Consumer Credit Subcommittee as well as Vice-Chairman of the House Agriculture Committee. Neugebauer will serve the remainder of the current term, which ends in January 2017.
The event will be held 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 29 in the gym at First Baptist Church. It is open to the public. You can also listen live on our free app or on TownTalkRadio.com.
