The funeral service for Wilmith Frances Duncan, 91, will be at 10:00 am Saturday, April 8, 2023, at Brownfield Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with James Coalson and Terry Duncan officiating. Burial will follow at Meadow Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm Friday, April 7, 2023, at Brownfield Funeral Home.
Wilmith was born at home on May 9, 1931, to Ervin and Gertrude Duncan in the Pool Community west of Meadow. She grew up and lived most of her life in the Pool Community. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Meadow. In her last 14 years, she lived with her sister and brother-in-law Clara and James Coalson in Abilene. Wilmith passed away Monday, April 4, 2023, in Abilene.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ervin and Gertrude Duncan; brother, Elvice Duncan; sister-in-law, Laverne Duncan; and nephew, Shelby Duncan.
Wilmith is survived by her brother Marion Duncan of Brownfield; sister, Clara and husband James Coalson of Abilene; nieces and nephews, Debra and husband Walt Murphree, Darla and husband Tracy Welch, Michelle Coalson and husband Michael Redding, Terry and wife Rhonda Duncan, James Dee and wife Toni Coalson, and Elizabeth Duncan; 7 great-nieces; 4 great-nephews; 9 great-great-nieces; 3 great-great-nephews; and 1 great-great-great-niece.
