Subject: Update on Auto Accident Investigation
An update has been provided regarding an auto accident that occurred at the intersection of TX State Highway 137 (Lamesa Highway) and County Road 460. Colby Jolley (44) from Welch was traveling northbound in the designated lane on Highway 137 while operating a 2006 Harley Davidson motorcycle. Meanwhile, Lloyd Sealy (68) of Brownfield was navigating southbound in a 2011 black four-door Chevrolet pickup truck. Upon reaching the location of Brownfield Seed and Delenting (1704 SH-137), Mr. Sealy executed a left turn and failed to yield the right of way to Mr. Jolley, resulting in a collision between the vehicle and the motorcycle. Consequently, Mr. Jolley was ejected from the motorcycle and was subsequently pronounced deceased at the scene of the accident.
Terry County Sheriff’s Dept., BRMC EMS, Brownfield Fire/Rescue, TX DPS, and TxDOT responded to the scene.
