Wanda Florence Qualls, 63, of Brownfield, TX, passed away Thursday, March 10, 2016 at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, TX. She was born February 25, 1953 in Levelland, TX to James and Hazel Qualls. Wanda attended and graduated from Brownfield High School and attended San Angelo State University and Texas Tech. Wanda was a dedicated employee of the Brownfield Compress for over 35 years, where she considered fellow employees her family. Wanda, a kind Christian woman, was a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church and served as the Children’s Director for many years. As a devoted mother, grandmother and friend, Wanda found much joy spending time with her grandchildren and lived for her getaway adventures with her lifelong, best friend, Barbara Grizzle.
Wanda is survived by her daughter, Kylie Qualls, of Brownfield; three granddaughters, Amaya Jordyn Qualls of Brownfield, TX, Kimberlynn Grace Welch and Addison Sheree Welch of Lubbock, TX; two nieces, Danielle Lehrman Carter(Dee Carter) of Plano, TX and Alissa Lehrman Iltis (Shawn Iltis) of Tucson, AZ.
Memorial Services will be held Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Carter officiating.
