Funeral services for Tricia Hopkins, age 40 of Seminole, Texas will be held Monday, June 6, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Family Harvest Church with Pastor David Rodriguez officiating. Burial will follow at later date in Gardendale, Alabama . All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home.
Tricia Hopkins was born August 1, 1975 in Cullman, Alabama to Teresa (Campbell) and Lynn Wiginton. She married Armando Cavazos in Bryan, Texas August 4, 2009. She had a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and worked as a Cognitive Specialist at West Texas Intermediate Sanction Facility, MTC Minimum Security Facility in Brownfield, Texas. She loved bowling and even tried out for the Olympic bowling team. She loved everyone, especially her family, and she liked making people laugh. She had a big heart and would give people the shirt off her back. She also loved animals, and was an avid Auburn fan.
Tricia Hopkins passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at Seminole Memorial Hospital in Seminole, Texas. She is preceded in death by her mother, her paternal grandparents, and one uncle. She is survived by her husband, Armando Cavazos of Seminole, Texas; one son, David Hopkins of Alabama; one daughter, DeAnn Hopkins of Alabama; one brother, Denny Wigington of Alabama; her father, Lynn Wigington of Alabama; and her maternal grandparents, Neil and Clara Campbell of Alabama.
