Today on the TownTalk Show, we were honored to visit with Lt. Matt Valdonado of the Brownfield Police Department to recognize National Law Enforcement Week and highlight the men and women who serve and protect our communities every day.

During the conversation, Lt. Valdonado discussed the importance of community policing and building strong relationships between law enforcement and the citizens they serve. He shared insights into the daily responsibilities and challenges officers face, while also emphasizing the Brownfield Police Department’s commitment to keeping Brownfield and Terry County safe. The discussion also focused on the importance of trust, communication, and working together as a community.

We also talked about the upcoming Law Enforcement Memorial Day Ceremony taking place Friday, which honors officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. Lt. Valdonado reflected on the significance of remembering fallen officers and supporting the families and agencies impacted by those losses. The conversation served as a reminder of the dedication, courage, and service shown by law enforcement officers across the nation and right here at home in Brownfield.
