ODESSA – Tony James Forbes, age 58, passed on into eternity on Friday, May 25, 2018, at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, TX. He began his earthly journey in Brownfield, TX on Tuesday, November 24, 1959, born to Barbara Diana (Graham) McCraw and the late William James Forbes. Tony married Karen Lloydean Tachell in Odessa on February 22, 2009. He had served in the US Army and worked as a tool pusher in the oilfield for Big Dog Drilling.
Those left to cherish his love and memory are his beloved wife: Karen Forbes; mother: Diana McCraw; three sons: Robert Dickerson, Craig Forbes, Lloyd Washburn; daughter: Katrina Mendenhall; brothers: Rodney Forbes and Ronny Forbes; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Memorial services are scheduled for 6:00 pm Monday, June 4, 2018, at Acres West Funeral Chapel, officiated by his cousin, Pastor Carrie Stanton, and Pastor Josh Blevins. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West and condolences to the family may be sent online at acreswestfuneral.com.
