photo_015602_3848607_1_10396837_20150130BROWNFIELD-Terrie Joyce Flournoy, 53, of Brownfield, Texas, passed away on Jan. 19, 2015. Terrie was born on Sept. 27, 1961, to Barbara and Tommy Flournoy in Brownfield, Texas. She attended and graduated from Brownfield Public Schools. At an early age, she attended Greater New Hope Baptist Church. She married Vincent Montez on Dec. 3, 1999, in Seminole, Texas. Terrie was a devoted housewife, mother, and grandmother. She was passionate about her family and loved her siblings unconditionally. Terrie loved family and friends. She was especially devoted to her father. Terrie treated everyone with kindness and greeted him or her with her trademark smile. Many will truly miss her life and legacy. Terrie was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Flournoy; and one brother, Marcus. She leaves to cherish her memories: her husband, Vincent Montez; father, Tommy Flournoy; one daughter, Laquisha Brown; two sons, Jacolby Flournoy and Tevin Holmes; three sisters, Barbara Foster, Tammy Flournoy and Donna Hill; five brothers, Jimmy Flournoy, Michael Cleveland, Tommy Flournoy Jr., Roderick Flournoy, and Carlos Flournoy; three grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Celebration of life services will be 1 p.m. today, Friday, Jan. 30, 2015, at Greater New Hope Baptist Church of Brownfield. Interment will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Brownfield, Texas, under the direction of Griffin Mortuary.
